On 11-11-18, 7:30pm Maya started delivering her babies, had 7, 4 black, 3 tan.   
Maya is such a sweet girl. She was taken in from a kill shelter as they were full with dogs from hurricane Michael. She loves her babies and was such a good mother. We are so glad that she had a nice bed, food and water, and shelter during her delivery. She was found during the hurricane, so we took her in just in time! She has a very easy-going, quiet personality. She loves to go for walks and go in the car. She is good with other dogs and we can cat test her if needed. Despite her breed, she does not howl and is very quiet and well-mannered. She is not super active, so a mature, calm home would suit her nicely. She has a good appetite and has quickly gained weight since delivering her babies. When we took her in, she was skin and bones. She is hoping to find her furever home soon!! 

Maya is heartworm positive but that should not prevent her from finding her forever home.  At time of adoption you will be supplied with literature regarding our slow kill method. Any questions regarding heartworms please call us. We also recommend that if you are not familiar with heartworms to speak to your veterinarian about the slow kill method.
