Boogie would thrive with another active dog and family to run, play ball in the yard, and swim with. He has learned to jump the 4ft fence, but not the 6ft one:) He still needs direction with training and we've found it best to use an Easy Walk Harness to walk with. He is such a goofy boy and he is FULL of personality. He is good with dogs of all sizes and kids of all ages. He has overcome his fear of men and loves everyone he meets. He is currently in a foster home with an 8-month-old baby and 2 other dogs. He is a happy boy, but would still love a hope of his own forever. 


Camp Update:  Boogie is doing well at camp, but seems to prefer women, at least initially.  He is afraid of some of the men he has come in contact with, but once he has gotten to know them, he is doing much better.  When camp first started, he would have nothing to do with the male camp photographer, now he runs up to him and gives kisses and loves him!!   Boogie is doing well learning loose leash walking and sit.   He loves to go for long walks and loves swimming.  He is so sweet and a really fast learner.  Follow Boogies's adventures at camp at https://doglando.kartra.com/page/camp-doglando

Boogie attended Camp Doglando from June 11 to June 22!  This is a fabulous training camp for shelter dogs and kids. The kids and dogs train together for two weeks and it is amazing how much the dogs learn in that short amount of time; Boogie is very eager to learn!!

Boogie's Story:  Boogie was owned by a person who cared nothing for this wonderful dog. He was chained outside 24/7 and his owner had no remorse.  This dog is very happy, playful, and loving. He enjoys running and playing with the other dogs, large and small.  He needs training on the leash and commands. Boogie will be a great dog for older children who enjoy running and playing ball. He is crate-trained and enjoys running around the yard with a toy in his mouth so you can chase him.
