Benny was rescued by animal control and then pulled out by another shelter. In order to save this sweet dog, Sumter County surrendered him to Pet Rescue by Judy. He is crate trained and house trained. He walks well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. When you first see this beautiful dog, you will fall in love with his eyes!
July 2018 Dog 4 a Day update:
When we had
Bennie
, he was a little hesitant at first but then became very comfortable when we gave him scratches (he loves scratches on the head). He was also hesitant in entering the house but adjusted quickly when we let him explore around all of the rooms. He’s a champ when it comes to car rides, he’ll just lay in the back seat and wait until you reach your destination. We then took him on a small trail and he loved it! When we were on the trail we believe he got a scent from a gopher or another animal and he became hyper and focused to find said animal. Once he found out where the animal was, he went back to his old happy self. We tried to play fetch with him but he didn’t seem to want to play which was okay!
Bennie
was such a delight and such a sweetheart, my boyfriend and I were sad when we had to take him back because he’s such a wonderful dog.
Bennie
loved walks, naps and can’t get enough of scratches. Thank you for letting us get to know him, and hopefully others will too!
Benny enjoys playing in the yard with other dogs. He is a typical hound and can have a loud bark. He would love a home where he can go on long walks with his family. He loves to play with toys and balls!
Benny is a remarkable, beautiful dog with the most loving eyes. If you are interested in this sweetie, please submit and application online.
