CASSIE DOES LIKE TO DIG AND JUMP FENCES.  SHE WILL TRY TO FIND ANY WAY TO GET OUT OF A YARD.  EXTREME CAUTION IS NEEDED IF SHE GOES OUTSIDE.  SHE IS ALSO A COUCH POTATO  AND WOULD ENJOY BEING LEASH WALKED.

Update 2/3/2019:

Cassi is such a sweet girl who has so much love and energy. She is great with kids of all ages and does very well with the other dogs here at the facility. This angel has been waiting so patiently for her forever home after her babies got adopted and deserves a loving home, preferrably with children (but please, no cats). If you are intrested in Cassi, please submit an application and give this sweet girl a chance!

Dog for a Day update 3/30/2019

Cassie was very sweet. We took her for a bunch of walks, she was very good at walking. My kids were able to easily walk her. She did like to chase lizards and birds. At home, she stayed with us in the house. She layed on the bed with us and was very affectionate. She was great and would be a good addition to a family.

Dog for a Day update 10/27/2018:
Cassie has visited VegFest in Orlando. She was so excited to ride in the car. She enjoyed being out and being pet by everyone she met. She loves belly rubs!!
She could use some work with her leash training, but overall she is a fantastic dog!!

Foster Update August:
Cassie has been an interesting dog to have. She loves the 8 month old and the 13 year old. She likes to clean the baby every chance she gets. He has grabbed her face before I can get there and Cassie doesn't do a thing but sit and wait for me to get there. No aggression or reaction from her. Cassie also loves stuffed animals. They are a great play toy for her. She has no interest in any of the other baby toys.   Cassie is a big ole chicken when it comes to thunder storms. First night we got her to the house. My husband was on the couch and the first sound of it she was between him and back of the couch. She also pushed herself in my daughters lap. Once she's cuddled up she is happy. Cassie doesn't seem to like any loud house tools run around her(vacuum,weed eater,lawn mower or power tools. Drills is the only one we used around her.)  If there is food on the counter she will get up to smell it.  We just tell her down and she listens. We let her sleep on the furniture. The one night she snuck into bed with us she was a bed hog. In the house she likes to bark at dogs she hears outside. We have blocked her at night from getting on the back porch and that has helped with barking at night and during the day.   Cassie does like to follow you around. She's a second tail. If you tell her it's time to lay down she'll sit and wait. She knows sit,lay down with these though we have to be very firm with her. 'Stay' though she listens like a champ. In the car she likes to move around at first. Then she curls in a ball and relaxes. 

 

July Dog 4 a Day update:  Thank you for a wonderful few hrs. Chelsea had a wonderful experience today with Cassie . We don’t have any pets and didn’t know what to expect. Cassie ’s energy at first seemed a little intimidating but we quickly warmed up to her. She was very playful and listened very well. She responded even better when talked to in Spanish which was unexpected and my daughter found it very funny.    We look forward to our next adventure at Judy’s pet rescue!!!!!

Cassiopeia was rescued from a kill shelter with her 9 babies. Since she has been separated from her puppies, her personality has truly come out. She is a very sweet girl who just wants all of your love and attention. She appears to be good with other dogs and loves to play. She really enjoys going for walks and is very affectionate. Once you start petting her, she never wants you to stop. She is so happy to be in a safer place with a nice clean bed. She is a staff and volunteer favorite.
