Description:
Who can resist this face? She, along with her two puppies Alby and Possum, came to use from Tennessee where their previous owner just had too many dogs.

She's a shy girl and she's had a lot of drama in her short life so she needs an understanding quiet home where she will be loved to death.

If you open your heart and home to this sweet dog, she will make an excellent companion!

Volunteer update: 03/24/2009
Peaches is a sweetheart! She is a good mama to her pups and wags her tail affectionately at anyone who passes by. She is calm when being handled and even allowed her eyes to be wiped without a fuss or even a whine. All she wants is to be loved.

03/31 Volunteer update: Peaches enjoyed the bath! She loves being full of suds and then towel dried.

04/07 Volunteer update: Peaches is still shy at first, but warms up once she gets to know you. She loves to snuggle and go for walks outside. She has the sweetest face and eyes that melt you!

Peaches has cherry eye (which is a cosmetic issue) which will be repaired when she is spayed.

According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, Cocker Spaniels are cheerful, sweet, and sensitive. The Cocker Spaniel is respectful of its master's authority without much challenge. Merry and endearing. A happy tail-wagger. Gentle and trusting, with average intelligence. They are lively, playful and devoted. Cockers will do okay in an apartment if they are adequately exercised, and are fairly active indoors. A small yard is sufficient. The American Cocker Spaniel is smaller than the English Cocker Spaniel and has a different conformation. The name "Cocker" comes from the woodcock, a game bird these spaniels flushed particularly well. Today, the Cocker Spaniel serves primarily as a companion and glamorous show dog. It can also be used for hunting, tracking, retrieving, watchdogging and agility. They have a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
