07/3/2018: UPDATE ON MACY: Beautiful Macy went into a foster home with one of our long time foster's. Here is what she had to say about Macy. MACY IS A GREAT DOG. SHE MADE HERSELF AT HOME IN 30 MINUTES. SHE LOVES PEOPLE-FOLLOWED ME EVERYWHERE. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE, DOES NOT GET INTO ANYTHING. SHE IS HOUSETRAINED, LIKES OTHER DOG'S IF THEY ARE FRIENDLY TO HER AND LOVES HER BED.
THE ONLY REASON I CAN'T CONTINUE TO FOSTER HER IS MY CAT. SHE REALLY GET'S INTO CHASING THE CAT. MY CAT IS TERRIFIED OF HER, SO SHE NEEDS TO BE IN A HOME WITH NO CATS.
MACY REALLY DESERVES A GOOD HOME. SHE NEEDS TO BE FOSTERED UNTIL SHE FINDS HER FOREVER HOME.
Macy was rescued from a high kill shelter. We were informed from the shelter that Macy should not be paired with larger dogs. She does have some food/toy aggression, so if with another smaller dog, we'd suggest feeding them separately. A home with no children would be best. When Macy first meets you, she will appear skittish, but she will come around once she is comfortable. If you are interested in Macy please put an application in. She is also available for fostering and Dog 4 A Day.
5/25 update: MACY showed no aggression when a larger, dominant dog got in her face. In fact, she acted submissively. Think if she is around larger dogs that are pack leaders, MACY would fall into a more submissive role:)
