Staff Update 6-2018:
Brutus goes out with other dogs at PRBJ. He likes to play, but would prefer a dog with moderate/similar energy to him. We have never had him around small dogs so we are unsure how he would do with them. He would do best with an active family that can give him all the love and care that he deserves. He was rescued from a horrible situation and has done a 180* and is such an amazing dog. He gets excited to go for walks and may need a little leash training. He loves to play with toys.
--------
Brutus was found abandoned at a residence in Oviedo; the owner is now currently in jail. Brutus was rescued by Oviedo Officer Dali, who named him and brought him to a local emergency vet until he could reach PRBJ. Judy picked up Brutus and rushed him to Dr. Anne Scholl Mealey at Chickasaw Trail Animal Hospital who will cared for Brutus's medical needs.
Brutus was neutered and bloodwork was redone and all came back excellent.Everyone at the hospital loves this wonderful dog!
Brutus is heartworm postive but that should not prevent him from finding his forever home. At time of adoption you will be supplied with literature regarding our slow kill method. Any questions regarding heartworm please call us. We recommending contacting your vet about the slow kill method if you are not familiar with heartworm treatment for dogs.
