June Dog 4 a Day updates: We took Aldo for a day to the dog beach. He didn't care too much for the water but loved to explore and was so curious of his surroundings. Aldo's favorite thing is a good belly rub. He's a big teddy bear that likes to cuddle and does not appear threatening or bark at any time around people or dogs. He would make a family that can spend dedicated time to cuddles very happy! 2nd set of comments! “Aldo is a dog with a gentle disposition, a loveable personality and a big loving heart. A perfect day for Aldo would be a long relaxing car ride with the windows down to allow his floppy ears to ride the wind, his face scrunched showing off his many wrinkles and making that face as if he’s reliving a memory from the past, or about to say something profound. He is a curious soul who loves to be close to you. Cuddling is his favorite pastime, and loving is what he does.”
APRIL Dog 4 a Day update: Yesterday we took Aldo out for the day and he was absolutely amazing! We were very impressed at how well behaved he is. Not once did he bark and he listened to almost every basic command. We walked around the river walk, gave him belly rubs in the grass, and then went out for lunch. During lunch he allowed people to pet him and he sat close by until we finished our food. He also did not beg for any food. He is a very curious dog and loves to sniff everywhere and closely observes everyone. Aldo also did very well walking on a leash and during the car ride. Such a great pup!
FEB Dog 4 a Day Update : We took Aldo for a day by the St. Johns river. He was great on a leash and was excellent around people. We got lunch outside and he happily laid by the table while we ate. He is quite possibly the sweetest dog ever and loves affection!
01/18/2018:
Aldo was returned to Pet Rescue by Judy due to him jumping a four foot fence. Notes below state he can jump a six foot fence. He has had some accidents in the house so he would need some help with potty training. At our center, he does not go to the bathroom in his crate and waits until he gets outside. He does not like to be out for a long time and tries to get over the fence. Aldo likes other dogs and is good with children. He is very playful and sweet, and is very sad being back at the rescue. He is availble for fostering/adoption. He absolutely loves to go out to the day and get out of our center
Aldo was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter. Per the shelter, they told us that Aldo is a sweet dog (however, he does not care for cats) He is cratetrained. He can climb and jump a six foot chainlink fence, so he would need to be watched. Aldo is ready for you to take him home and love him forever!
