Description:Are you looking for a great family dog? Then let me introduce you to this sweetheart! Zoey is a doll. She lived with her family from 8 weeks old until she was surrendered to us. They gave her up because of the birth of a baby. Truthfully, I find that mystifying. I mean, what's that about??? And she obviously has recently had a litter of puppies. It seems they successfully found homes for all 8 puppies, but not for the momma that they "loved." Really, it is so frustrating sometimes dealing with surrendering owners. Most stand there with tears streaming down their faces, but others.... well, let's just say that the dog is more upset than they are..... Zoey is wonderful ~ very friendly, good with kids and other dogs, housetrained.... Really, all that and a bag of chips! Let's get her a committed forever home as fast as we can!
1/30 Volunteer Update:
Zoey is so scared she will barely eat! She is so scared to come out of the kennel and then outside ohh my gosh..but i guess if i spent my whole life in a very comfortable home and then one day my owner turned me in..ohh i feel for this girl! She is SOOO shy right now..i fear she will have a hard time finding a home when she is this shy!
1/30 Volunteer Update:
Zoey needs about 5 minutes of warming up, I was with her a bit before a foster took her home and she was glued to my side after lots of loving. She's a little confused and scared right now but there's not an aggressive bone in her body. I like this dog, she deserves the 5 min it takes for her to trust ya!
1/31 Foster Update
We just brought her home today. Already she is such a different girl! She was so happy when she got to our apartment. I think seeing a house and not a cage made her so happy. She kept coming up to me and licking me. After hearing that she had not been eating, we tried to give her food thinking she wouldn't eat. She ate up all her food right away. I think she just needed to feel comfortable. She is such a sweet girl. I can't imagine why anyone would give her up!

2/7 Foster Update:
Zoey is the easiest dog we've ever fostered. She is so sweet and loving yet so laid back. She loves to cuddle in her dog bed or our dog chair. She is so well behaved that we do not have to leave her in a crate when we leave. She has never messed with anything in the house. She is fully potty trained and can hold it for quite a long time. Zoey loves to gives kisses. For being so laid back, she has a playful side to her (as seen above with fostermate Zen). She gets so excited when you get home that she cries. It makes me feel so appreciated.
