Description:

10/29/2017  Dog 4 a Day update:   During my day with Gia we went on several walks through the neighborhood, took a nap, played inside with a tennis ball, and played chase! She was a little shy at first but once i took her home and got her leash off, she explored the house nonstop! She is such a sweetheart and I had lots of fun getting to play with her all day! I am looking forward to seeing her again soon!

10/04/2017:  Update on Gia from her foster:

She is not completely house trained and is very strong and pulls on a leash, that is why we purchased the harness for her. She loves to go on walks and play with floppy toys. Is very quiet in the house unless she sees something that is strange to her. She does not trust quickly especially men but warms up quickly if you let her come to you.

Thank you for keeping us informed on her progress and if necessary would foster her again if it would help find her a family that would play with her and love her as she deserves

NEW update Sept. 2017
My husband and I had the pleasure to host "Gia" for the weekend during hurricane Irma. What a love bug this furry baby is, she is a none barker, none winier and a very sweet little girl. I would have kept her but I need to get my yard fenced (my preference) Gia is a good walker, does not pull and a great eater. I am hoping this sweet little girl finds a wonderful forever home. The family or person that gets her will have hit a home run in the doggie world. And she does not afraid of the vacuum. Love you Judy and love you Gia!!...

GIA GOT TO GO OUT FOR DOG 4 A DAY w/ RACHELLE!! HERE IS WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY ABOUT GIA........."Amazing dog!!! She's smart, extremely well behaved & even when we went for a walk she would explore for a bit then come back next to me. She is a bit nervous at first and is a bit shy around cats. She opens up more the longer she is with you. I wanted to adopt her because she is so amazing, but I rent and can't have her size dog. When we went for a walk and people would come past, she would walk behind me then after seeing they were ok would want to meet them!"

Gia was a stray that was brought into a high kill shelter, where she was rescued by PRBJ. We do know this sweet girl did have a litter of puppies, but they were not with her.  She is a really good dog and is great with kids and other dogs. She is ready for adoption and would love to go to her forever home!
