Description:

Dog for a day Update:  After picking up Emma and Lachy, they were very good in the backseat of our van. For the most part, they were just sitting/laying down until we got to our destination. They did get very excited once we got to Lake Lily. Emma and Lachy were wonderful during our laps around Lake Lily, but they did pull a little on the leash when we got to areas that had ducks on the grass. Emma was very sweet with a little girl who came up and pet her.

When we brought them home after our walk, they were very well behaved. They played with one another for the most part and kept each other entertained in between laying down and relaxing. Lachy did hop up on the couch, but Emma was good about just lying on the floor.

Emma and her brother Lachy were adopted from us a babies. Two years later we got a call from a kill shelter saying that they had been dropped off there by their previous "family". We called the family right away hoping that this was a mistake, but when we called they had already changed their phone numbers. The shelter they were abandoned at is one of the worst we have ever seen. No air conditioning just a few fans on a 97 degree day.  They gave no reason to the shelter why they were surrendering them, and we have not found any behavioral problems with the dogs since we have had them back at the center.  They are both sweet, curious, and beautiful dogs.
