These puppies came to us by virtue of a tragedy. A woman knocked on Judy's door one morning covered in dirt and tears, holding these five puppies. She found them on the side of the road trying to nurse from their dead mother. Their mother, a Golden Retriever mix, had been dead a while, killed by a car. No one had stopped until she did. The dirt on her was from the grave that she had dug for the dog, the tears were from the shelters she had contacted who said that they would have to be put down because they were so young. Judy, of course, took them into her heart and home, running out to buy syringes and puppy milk - regular bottles were just too big for them. After filling their bellies and gently washing them, she took them to the vet who removed their umbilical cords and determined them to be just two days old! They won't be available for adoption for several weeks but if you would like to sponsor them, we would welcome your donation.
