Dexter the Flamepoint's brother, Ashley the Birman (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
Description:
Dexter is a perfect balance between playful silliness and relaxed independence. His playtime stamina will FAR exceed your own, but Dexter understands your limits and will relax himself with his favorite corner of the week. What I love about him is that his energy is always on demand. One second he's belly-side up soaking up the sun from the window, and then the next second he's prancing around slapping his favorite toy around. His nonchalant run resembles a distinct bunny hop, and when he knows he's about to be fed, he'll prance sideways (yes, completely sideways) ahead of you all the way to the bowl. I think the reason he runs like that is to show how dignified, graceful, and classy of a feline he is (purely speculation). He's great with children and has peacefully coexisted with our small dog (papillon) for almost 2 years. If you leave your door open at night, don't be surprised if he's waiting right next to your head first thing in the morning! He's well litter trained, does not mark at all, and as long as you have a scratching post, you will never have a problem with him clawing furniture. I am giving away Dexter because my housemates can no longer endure their allergies with Dexter as I have pushed aside. He's a beautiful cat and I will surely miss him, but I have to accept the fact that I can no longer keep him. Give this cat a warm, cozy home and you will cherish the Dexter experience for years to come.
Dexter (previously known as Frankie) was adopted from PRBJ as a kitten but has been returned due to owner allergies. He has grown into a stunning adult and would love to find his new furever home with you.
Frankie and his brother Ashley are STUNNING. Take your breath away GORGEOUS kittens. But honestly, their looks pale in comparison to their charming little personalities. They are going to be lap cats - no doubt about it. They purr when you pick them up (always a terribly endearing quality in kittens), they are very people-focused, alert, clever, and engaging. Within moments, they had one of our visitors trained to fetch their cat toys, which they playfully kept batting off the table.
