Just over 11 years ago we adopted a beautiful kitten from you Judy for our son Theo. You had named him Mystic, and mystic he truly was. Everyone who met him fell in love with him for he was no ordinary cat, our boys often called him the "19th level monk". Mystic quickly took charge of our home and ruled the three dogs and later the other cat we rescued with a firm paw. He traveled across the country with us and made friends everywhere he went. Sadly this past Friday we lost him. Our lives will never be the same without him but we are grateful for the time we had. Mystic had a great life surrounded by a people who loved him thanks to you. Please know that the crusade you are on is one that is pure of heart and so important to our 4 legged friends. Thank you for your caring heart. I am sure you do not hear it enough. God bless you and above all know your life's work is appreciated!

Hi! just wanted to say I just donated my puppies to you guys> They are 8 months old. Their names are Bonnie and Clyde. They are so playful Bonnie loves to have her belly rubbed. If you call her name she flops down on her back so you can rub her tummy it is so cute! Clyde is a little bashful but in a cute way. He loves to snuggle he used to follow me everywhere and sit by the window and wait for us to come home. We have three kids 14, 7 , 1 month and they just loved our kids. I hated giving them away! I really miss them! I just wanted whoever gets them to know that they are wonderful and you will be very happy with them as your pets. Please take good care of our babies!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping George the Bichon find a loving home. It was very sad for me to have to drop him off. But knew he would be in capable hands. Even though George spent only one day with me, I grew attached and did love his little personality, and ended up crying having to leave him. Thank you Judy for helping all the animals you can. You have a very big heart. I cant thank you enough for giving George a chance.

I read your homepage and it made me think of when i rescued a cat one day. She was starved and about as skinny as 3 fingers width. You could see her spine and everything. I was at my cousins house and this little calico cat came walking around our front porch. We gave her some food and water and a little bit of milk and took her to the vet to get her shots and. There was no collar or microchip or anything so we kept her and named her Ella. Ella got bigger and is really heavy but not fat. She also got a small, round pink rash on her belly recently. But the next day, after we found her, it snowed heavy so she wouldn't have made it. That made me think of all the animals out there that might have a second chance and i want to donate all i can for the animals at your shelter. :D

I have met quite a few "animal people". I have never met such a woman with such passion in doing what is right for our beloved fur faces. She is loving yet strong. I have gotten some kitties from Judy. They are the loves of my life.
there aren't enough words to describe the goodness of this generous woman.
Judy . . You're the Best!!!!

I was fortunate enough to become a part of our small towns animal rescue PAWS when we started it in 2000 after discivering the horrible conditions at the city pound. After years of fighting city hall we wer able to get a new pound built, not much better but atleast the old metal box they used to stuff full of dogs and gas them with a truck was gone. I met so many people that reated their pets so badly I couldn't believe it. We have a small no-kill shelter run by a handful of older ladies and we have saved many. Due to medical conditions, I have slowed down some but my husband and I still care for ten rescues that we have with us. It is an honor to read about you and your valient efforts. Thank you for saving so many innocent ones.

I heard of the story of little Tanker on the news several weeks ago when he was first found and it touched my heart. I have also taken in a beautiful goldendoodle who was so badly abused it took me nearly a year to pet her. I was so happy to hear that little Tanker was going to be adopted by Faith the Dog's owner. But I was horrified at the news broadcast last night and the unreasonable request to put this fragile animal on a plane by Feb 2nd. I was disgusted by Faith's owner and her obvious desire to use Tanker for media attention and monetary gain. I sent her an email, in which she responded. She obviously realized that she was not seen in a very nice light and I am so happy to know that she has decided not to take Tanker nor take any action against you and your wonderful shelter. Thank you for all you do for animals. Bless you!

Judy, I am amazed by Faith's story and so very, very happy to hear that you will be adding Tanker to your family.
As a rescue-parent of a special needs dog (Peanut came to me after a wicked 'bout of Distemper), I know the sacrifice and the many blessings that follow.
I am so very glad there are people like you in the world!!!

Hello Judy!
Wow your website and videos are wonderful! My husband Justin and I used to work for the Oviedo Banfield/Petsmart about 6 years ago until we moved up north. We loved working with you and we adopted Kida our little Maine Coon from your organization.
I came across your website when family members of ours are looking to adopt from you. Your new facility is beautiful! And I recognize people that we knew from the videos. Congratulations and well done on all you and your aide’s hard work!
Sincerely,
Michelle Redfield

We just lost our BIG BABY Rottie Zeus to Lymphoma. We adopted him from Pet Rescue By Judy about four years ago. I was shopping at Petsmart in Altamonte and there he was. So I called the Mrs. and told her "you must see him" and she said "just bring him home". He had alot of health problems as a pup but ended up thriving very well. Thanks to Dr. Larkins. He's one of the best vets around. I just wanted to say Zeus was the best dog and my best friend. I wanted to post this as I am grieving but I also want to say thanks for what you guys do. These pets need good homes.

Judy,
Troy & I adopted Odin on 4/29/07. We renamed him Otis after my step-father who passed away in 1990. What a wonderful pet he has become. He is no longer toy aggressive. We were able to break that pattern of behavior in about 6 weeks, with constant work, patience, and love. As a matter of fact, I can put my face right down next to his when he has a ball or toy and he will lick my face and nudge the toy to me. He is also wonderful with children. He just loves them and loves to play with them. The kids across the street from us think he is something else. He never meets a stranger and is a true people dog!! He very quickly became a momma's boy. He loves Troy, but I am definitley his favorite. He sleeps curled up next to me. He is the best pet I have ever had. You can't imagine how much I love this little guy. I would love to send you some pictures.

To all of you at PRBJ-Nimmi (renamed Nyana) has been with me two weeks tomorrow! For such a docile dog at the meet and greet, she has turned into a terror! I believe that means nothing more than she feels secure in her new environment, even after such a short period of time. Zelda is also being much more accommodating-growls are less and less frequent, and I believe I detect a subtle wag of the tail when Nyana licks her eyes or nuzzles next to her while napping. Yesterday she visited the vet for her two week check-up from the heartworm treatment, and the vet seemed pleased with her progress. Thank you all for helping me adopt this precious dog. I didn't think it would be possible to be interested in another dog soon after Nikita's death, but we are glad to have Nyana!

I contacted you a few months ago, requested an application for adoption and then you never heard from me again...here's the scoop! (not poop!) A very young male black tiger cat, which seemed as wild as it could be, started coming to our front door area on a daily basis. I had seen this cat wandering the neighborhood and put some food out for it. I immediately found myself with a twice a day dining companion who wouldn't let me near him. Thinking he was probably feral even though he did let me gradually get closer but never able to touch him, I made a date for "neutering and tests and shots". I borrowed a Havahart trap from my wonderful vet Carol Lipari,DVM and managed to catch a baby possum and nearly two birds. I released the poor oppossum back into the yard and two nights before the scheduled surgery "Tommy" made it into the trap. It was much easier than I had anticipated and he was very very calm. I borrowed a dog crate from my neighbor and opened the two doors against one another and the cat strolled into the crate and settled in fairly well. He ate his usual meal, drank but did not use the litter pan but neither did he "soil" his area. Now confined to a spare bathroom area, my own two cats still gazed out the front windows looking for "their friend". Monday morning brought a trip to surgery, ear tipping, etc. But this cat wanted to be petted. :) I took him to my own vet for a thorough checking out since I didn't want my own two cats infected with anything, and found he had hookworms. His other tests were negative and with some medication for earmites and the hookworms we went "home". Still confined to the bathroom for two weeks, Tommy seemed to settle in and be content and wanted attention and "bumped" into you for petting. With the second dose of worming medication administered and a week later a negative reading on the parasites I opened the door from his suite (his area had been expanded to include a spare bedroom/office), we hoped for the best. The welcoming committee was not thrilled but now, 2 weeks later, the howling has subsided, the hissing is much less and the low rumbling growls are fewer and farther between. Poor Tom just wants to be friends and play and the other two (ages 4 and 12 months) have not liked their space invaded. But things are better, there have been no claw fights, everyone eats together and shares litter pans....just not sleeping environments. The oldest cat is taking it the worst and she was the one who gazed out the window looking for him for weeks. And so, we have become a 3 cat family...Dizzy, Savannah and Tommy the Tom Cat

We are the new parents of Morreland the boxer rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. We adpoted him at the beginning of June. He is LOVING his new home and new brother Moose. It was a little bit of a rough start, but now they are inseparable. They are always playing and racing around the back yard. We couldn't be more happy to have him in our family.

Just wanted to give you an update for all of those who remember Cookie and Judy, the two beautiful boxers whose owner was killed by a drunk driver. We are their new adoptive "parents.". They have adopted very well to their new home, although it took Cookie a couple of weeks to make friends with her new "brother," Rocky. The three of them are best buddies now. Ginger and Cookie are wonderful to have around. They love to be around the pool deck, although neither of them have ventured to get in the pool with their brother. Both have put on weight and you can no longer see either of their ribs. It's so nice to come home from work and be greeted like the two of them do. We love them to death and my wife and I often think about who got the best deal, Ginger and Cookie or us! I hope their original owner is looking down on us and seeing that they are being taken care of very well and that they are very happy! Thanks Judy for giving us the opportunity to bring this kind of happiness into our lives.

To everyone at PRBJ, especially Diana, my adoption coordinator, I want to say thank you for the wonderful new friend you have given me. I adopted Money Pitt (now Bailey) last week, and he is amazing. Playful, curious, and sweet, he sleeps with me at night and plays with my other cat during the day. He's a little brat, but with his adorable looks, I would be too! Thank you again for my little friend, and I'll keep in touch!
