Visitor Update 9/23:  If ever there was a cat that could tug at your heart strings, it's Chaquita.  She has the softest, silken fur, the sweetest gaze when she looks at you, and the peaceful countenance of a cat who is happy to just relax at home while her family enjoys her presence.  Her coloring is a soft wash of calico, and her coat....wonderful to the touch. You really have to see her 'in person' to appreciate her.  She will make someone a truly beautiful companion.

Foster Update - 2/17/12 -  Chaquita is doing much better at getting acquainted with her new surroundings than her companion Angel.   Chaquita is very sweet & purrs robustly when I pick her up for her many hugs during the day. When I first brought Chaquita home she did was very wary of the other fosters. Today, she accepts her house mates with no hissing or squirmishes though she is still reluctant to play with them.

Chaquita and her companion Angel were brought to us by a gentleman who had been keeping them in his church office, but had to give them up because of staff allergies. They are very sweet girls who would love to love you. We think there is some Siamese in her, because she has the crossed blue eyes, but she lacks the chatterbox tendency (which drives some people crazy!)
